Simple Fruity Wheatgrass Recipes That Are Fun and Delicious

Wheatgrass has a very potent smell and taste, not many like it. Here are 3 simple wheatgrass recipes to help you drink your juice, get your nutrition and enjoy it! Remember don’t ever cook with wheatgrass or heat it in any way – heating wheatgrass will destroy all the vital nutrients in it.

Red, Green and Orange Dream

You will need 2 oz of fresh wheatgrass and an orange. Juice the orange with an orange juicer and make sure that there isn’t any pulp. Pour the orange juice into a tall clear glass and pour the wheatgrass shot directly into the middle. Garnish the drink with a cherry on the side.

Watermelon and Wheatgrass Wonderland

You will need a quarter of a watermelon and 2 oz of wheatgrass. Put the watermelon into a blender into you get a very liquid like consistency, you want about 500 ml of juice. Put the watermelon juice into a tall glass and mix in the 2oz of wheatgrass juice with a spoon. Garnish with a watermelon slice and serve.

Green Berry Blast

You will need 2oz shot of wheatgrass, a banana, two handfuls of mixed berries (these can be anything ranging from blackberries to strawberries and raspberries) and a tablespoon of agave or maple syrup. Blend together the banana, berries and agave or maple syrup until thick and pour into a glass. Pour the wheatgrass slowly into the mix and stir until well blended. Garnish with a strawberry and serve.
